Project: Record, monitor and track the efficiency of individual housekeepers and then to formulate and implement 2-3 initiatives that will improve efficiency in the housekeeping department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
May be required to perform Cabin Attendant duties.
Receive information on room status and special requirements from the Executive Housekeeper.
Maintain constant communication with housekeeping office advising room status throughout the day on a timely basis.
Assist in training programs and directly oversee on the job training.
Ensure that all personnel are properly uniformed before starting work.
Ensure that all-applicable company policies and procedures are followed.
Work closely with personnel to promote open communication and insure that standards are met and assignments completed.
Make recommendations to Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor of commendations and disciplinary actions regarding employees reporting directly to them.
Perform finishing duties in guest cabins according to procedure.
Inform the Housekeeping Office of rollaway or cribs that need to be picked up or delivered.
Note any repairs needed in rooms and report

maintenance needs to the Executive Housekeeper.
Keys left in rooms should be picked up and returned to the Main Linen Room.

items found in rooms should be turned in to the Assistant Housekeeper properly tagged.
Supervise the maintenance of linen rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.
Project Scope: Initially, the intern will learn how housekeeper's efficiency is monitored and will be responsible for recording the housekeeper's daily efficiency statistics. The intern will run a comprehensive weekly report that will inform the GM, AGM and housekeeping management of individual's efficiency. The intern will then formulate 2-3 initiatives that will have a positive impact upon the department's efficiency and will work with the management team to implement the initiatives. The intern will continue to track efficiency to see if their initiatives have a positive effect on the department.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
