Retail Gift Buyer, Year Round, Grand Teton Lodge Company, WY

Responsible for gift related merchandise buying in an effort to maximize sales and profits in your divisions. Coordinate with Senior Buyer and Director of Retail on all product mixes and overall merchandising plan. Assist in the management of all store locations and/or assigned store locations. Responsible for staff hiring, supervision and development. Efficiently maintains product flow between the warehouse and all store locations.
Responsible for the purchasing and sales analysis of gift divisions
Evaluate sales trends, and create methods for sales growth.
Provide direction to store locations on product layout and visual merchandising for all store locations
Oversee daily operation of assigned store locations including the hiring of staff (initial hiring in off-season and backfilling in-season), supervision, training, and development. (Operating Season Primarily)
Works directly with warehouse staff to resolve and merchandise problems
Complete purchase orders
Comply with departmental budgets
Works with accounting to resolve invoice issues
Manages the process of maintaining items into inventory/POS system including vendor creation, item setup, pricing, and reporting
Assists in the successful completion of all physical inventories including uploading of data into inventory system and analysis reporting
Responsible for maintaining and processing sales through our on-line store
Travel to trade shows, as necessary
All other duties assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Retail Merchandising or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year of buying/merchandising experience for multiple locations preferred
At least 1 year supervisory experience preferred
Proficient with Microsoft computer programs (Word, Excel , Outlook)
In-depth experience with Microsoft Excel functions (V lookup, Pivot Tables, Macros)
Prior Retail POS experience highly recommended
Ability to fluently communicate in English
Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal communications
Strong organizational and process planning skills
