We are looking for hospitality majors interested in completing a summer internship with us at our Colter Bay Village property in Grand Teton National Park.
Project: Analysis of customer feedback and the implementation of a plan to have a positive effect on the quantity and quality of Colter Bay's customer feedback
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Must consistently provide legendary hospitality experiences to internal and external guests alike.
Greets all guests and visitors cordially as they arrive at the Front Desk.
Registers guests and processes necessary paperwork, obtaining credit card and posting of cash payments.
Performs checkouts; obtaining final payment and completes check out in hotel
computer
system.
Provides guests with information on hotel and facilities upon guest check-in, answer general questions.
Makes change and cashes checks as requested by guest; post charges to guest accounts and master folios promptly and accurately.
Sort mail, receives guest messages and places in guest mailboxes.
Takes reservations for day of.
Prepares keys for incoming tours from list provided by Front Office Manager. Prepares folios for departing tours and tour directors.
Coordinates special requests for rollaway and cribs; notifies the switchboard operator and/or Maintenance Department of any items or housekeeping complaints.
Works with the bell staff to provide luggage service to guests.
Notifies Housekeeping on guest checkouts, room changes, updated room status, and unexpected stay-overs.
Records guest comments or complaints, referring to the managers as necessary.
Project Scope: During the first month of the season, the intern would be granted access to Colter Bay's customer feedback information via the program Market Metrix. Initially, the intern would be responsible for gathering the customer information and then translating that data into reports that would track current results vs historic data, identify positive and negative trends, and offer analysis as to the cause of the trends. These reports would then be presented at the weekly Colter Bay leadership meetings. The intern would then be asked to formulate 2-3 initiatives that could have a positive impact on customer feedback and would work with the GM and AGM of the property to implement these initiatives. After implementing these initiatives, the intern would continue to track results to see if their initiatives have a positive effect.
_LOCATION SPECIFIC INFORMATION:_
Colter Bay Village lodging varies from a campground and RV resort, to the original rustic log cabins native to Grand Teton National Park. This eco-friendly resort, is a hub of outdoor recreation. Colter Bay Village, has access to miles of hiking trails, museum, horseback riding, canoe rentals, lake cruises, and guided fishing trips. This position generally works a 32-48 hour work week, mid May through September.
